Neonatal Resuscitation workshop

Seventeen medical providers, including physicians and nurses, attended the Neonatal Resuscitation two day, 8-hour workshop held at First Care Medical Services last week.  All registered nurses at First Care are required to be certified, and recertification is required every two years.

Mary Anne Struemph, Director of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, was the presenter.  Struemph has been teaching infant CPR since 1992.  She has been coming to First Care yearly to present current guidelines and introduce new information.  The training included many hands on exercise and team procedures.
