For 17 years, the Polk County American Dairy Association has made it a tradition to give the first baby born in June at First Care Medical Services in Fosston a gift basket of dairy products. This year's Dairy Baby is Wesley Owen Anderson, son of Ricky Anderson and Jennifer Lee of Fergus Falls.
Wesley was born on Monday, June 1, 2009, weighing 6 pounds, 12 ounces. He was delievered by Dr. Charles Winjum of Innovis Health in Fosston. Grandparents of the baby are Millie Anderson of Gully and Diane Lee of Fergus Falls.
Presenting the gift basket from the American Dairy Association was Samantha Lee, Polk County Dairy Princess. Samantha is the daughter of Mark and Joan Lee who operate a dairy farm near McIntosh.
